The Floater Micro Strike Indicators help you watch for subtle takes when current makes a bite difficult to feel. These lightweight, visible EVA floats show dips, stalls, and sideways movement during a drift, giving you another way to monitor small-bait presentations.

Choose a 1/2-inch or 1-inch variety pack. Each pack contains three floats, one of each color, for creek and ultralight fishing.

Product Details

Brand: Creek Life Lure Co.

Model: The Floater.

Style: micro strike indicator float.

Material: EVA.

Size options: 1/2 inch or 1 inch.

Pack quantity: 3 floats, one of each color.

For presentations with dough bait, micro plastics, tiny jigs, or nymph-style rigs.

Suitable for watching subtle takes from trout, panfish, and other creek fish.

How to Use It

Attach the indicator according to the included rigging directions and check that it stays in position without damaging the line. Match the float to the complete rig so it remains visible rather than being pulled under by the bait and weight alone.

Start shallow and adjust the distance between float and bait until you occasionally touch bottom. In shallow eddies, riffle tails, slow seams, and pocket water, guide the drift while recovering excess slack without dragging the float unnaturally.

Watch for dips, sideways slides, sudden stalls, or an unusual pause. A change can signal a bite or bottom contact; lift with control and adjust your depth if repeated bottom contact keeps interrupting the drift.

Rigging Illustration

Appalachian Inspiration

The Floater’s fictional Appalachian backstory follows Bubba Joe, a practical creek angler who rigs a small float to help distinguish a bite from a drifting leaf.
