A loop at the opposite end lets you attach it to a hi-lo dropper loop rig.

Use it as the hook-leader component of your bottom-fishing setup rather than a complete hi-lo rig. The skirt adds a squid-style profile around the hook, while the loop provides a convenient attachment point.

Rig Details

Model: R954

Target species: Cod

Leader length: 18 inches

Hook: One size 4/0 Mustad hook

Dressing: Vinyl squid skirt

Attachment: Loop opposite the dressed hook for connection to a hi-lo dropper loop rig

Hand-tied construction

How to Fish It

Attach the leader's loop to a suitable dropper loop on your hi-lo rig. Choose a sinker for your complete rig that suits the depth and current without exceeding your rod's rating.

Lower the setup under control until it reaches bottom, then take up slack and keep the bait near the bottom as you drift. Use gentle lifts rather than constant hard jigging, and check for tangles and worn leader after each retrieve.
