Setup and Fishing Guidance
Pair the rod with a compatible casting reel that balances comfortably in hand and holds suitable line for your location. Choose line within the selected model's rating, secure the reel with both locking rings, and set drag to suit the weakest component in your setup.
When casting a bait rig, count the sinker, bait, and terminal tackle together when checking weight against the selected model's range. Use a smooth cast and begin with conservative reel braking and spool tension. Expose the rod to sunlight before a night session to charge the glow finish.
For circle-hook rigs, let the line tighten and reel steadily as the rod loads instead of making a sharp hookset. Keep a controlled rod angle during the fight and use a landing net rather than lifting a fish with the rod.
Care
Wipe down the blank and EVA handle after use and inspect the guides for damage that could fray line. After saltwater exposure, rinse gently with fresh water and dry before storage. Protect the tip during transport and keep the blank clear of doors and heavy gear.
