How to Fish It

For a Texas rig, thread the Voodoo Craw straight onto a suitable hook and protect the point when fishing vegetation or brush. Choose a weight that reaches your target depth, let the bait fall beside cover, and work it with short lifts and pauses.

As a jig trailer, align the body with the hook and leave the appendages free to move. On a bladed jig, check that the trailer does not interfere with the blade before beginning a steady retrieve. For a shaky head or drop shot, start with subtle shakes and pauses rather than constant movement. Watch the line during the fall, take up slack on a pickup, and set the hook according to your rig. Recheck the bait's alignment after each fish.
