Hendrix Fishing Company Flex Shad 5.25-Inch 6-Pack

A Soft Shad Profile for Twitch-and-Pause Fishing

The Hendrix Fishing Company Flex Shad is a 5.25-inch soft jerkbait with a streamlined shad profile. Short rod-tip twitches send it gliding and swooping through the water, giving you a quiet baitfish presentation without the constant movement of a straight retrieve.

Fish it weightless for a slow sink and surface-skipping bursts, or add insert weights when you want to reach deeper fish around structure. Each pack contains six baits, made in the USA.

How to Fish It

Rig the Flex Shad straight on a suitably sized soft-plastic hook so the body can glide without twisting. Start weightless and use short twitches followed by slack-line pauses, letting the bait sink between movements. Near the surface, a quicker twitch can make it dart like fleeing baitfish.

For deeper presentations, add an insert weight and adjust the amount to the depth and fall rate you want. Work it beside brush or other structure with controlled movements rather than pulling it continuously. Watch the line during pauses, take up slack when a fish picks it up, and set the hook according to your rig. Recheck the bait's alignment after each fish or missed strike.
