Two Rod Options, Your Choice of Retrieve

Choosing and Setting Up Your Combo
Choose the rod by the total weight of your intended presentation and the line you plan to use, then select your preferred retrieve side. The reel's capacity figure describes spool capacity, not the rod's recommended line range.
Secure the reel, thread the line through each guide, and set the drag for your line. Begin with conservative braking and short practice casts, using your thumb to control the spool. Readjust your casting controls when changing presentation weight or casting conditions.
