How to Fish It

• Slow Pitch Vertical — drop to the bottom and work a slow, rhythmic rod lift with the reel on the fall; the jig flutters and darts on every lift and falls back naturally; most strikes come on the fall — stay in contact on every drop
• Deep Reef & Wreck — drop to the structure fast with heavier weights (200g+) in current; work the bottom 20–30 ft of the water column where grouper and AJs hold; the bold red/silver color is visible at depth where natural colors wash out
• Ledge Fishing — position upcurrent of the ledge and drop; let the jig sweep back along the structure; the flutter action triggers fish holding in the current break behind the ledge
• Weight Selection — choose the lightest weight the current allows to reach bottom; 100g for inshore ledges in mild current; 150g for mid-depth drops (120–170 ft); 200g+ for deeper wrecks and heavier current where vertical presentation requires more weight to stay in the zone
