The Bacca Burrito grew out of a collaboration between Swimbait Universe and Burrito Bait Co., with prototypes developed for fishing Mexico's Lake Baccarac. Mike Bucca of Bull Shad Swimbaits later joined the effort to make the bait more widely available.
This boot-tail soft swimbait comes in 5-inch and 6-inch Fast Sink options. Choose the profile and color you want to fish, then use your countdown and retrieve speed to work different depths.

How to Fish It
Match your rod's lure rating to the bait in hand and use line and terminal tackle suited to your setup. Start with a short cast to check the bait's swimming action and sinking behavior before fishing deeper water.
After casting, allow a controlled countdown before beginning a steady retrieve. Keep track of that count so you can repeat the depth on your next cast. Shorten the countdown or increase retrieve speed when working above cover; let it sink longer when exploring deeper, clear water.
Work along points, drop-offs, and cover edges with an open retrieve path. Mix in a brief pause or speed change, then return to a steady swim. Stay in contact as the bait sinks, and inspect the line and rigging after a fish or contact with cover.
Care
Check the bait and hook hardware before fishing. Let it dry before storage and keep its body and tail straight rather than compressed beneath other tackle. Rinse with fresh water after saltwater exposure and dry thoroughly.
