The Baker JLD3 Series Jerkbait is built around an internal magnetic weight transfer and rattle system that solves two of the biggest jerkbait casting problems at once — distance and tangles. On the cast, the magnetic weight slides rearward to the tail of the bait, shifting the center of gravity back for maximum casting distance; on the retrieve, the weight returns to its forward position, restoring the balanced, lifelike swimming posture that makes the JLD3 suspend naturally at approximately 3 feet. The rattle fires on the jerk and pause, calling fish in from outside visual range. Changing retrieve speed produces varying degrees of action from a tight, subtle wobble on a slow pull to an aggressive, erratic dart on a hard snap. When to Throw a Jerkbait
