The Creek Life Lure Co. Barbless Tungsten Bead Jig Head Kit brings small creek-fishing jig heads together in a sample box. The assortment contains 18 jig heads across different colors and sizes, with 1/32 oz and 1/64 oz weights and barbless hooks in sizes 8–12.

Use these small bead-head jigs with appropriately sized Creek Life baits and other compatible presentations for trout, sunfish, crappie, shiners, bass, and other creek species. The compact tungsten-alloy beads add weight for swimming, hopping, and drifting small baits, while the barbless hooks simplify unhooking.

Rigging and Tackle

Match the hook size and gap to the bait rather than forcing a thick plastic onto a small hook. Thread soft plastics straight so they track cleanly, and leave the point clear. Choose a rod, reel, and line suited to the complete rig weight.

Select between the two weights to suit depth and current. Start light in shallow, slower water, then add weight when you need more control. These weighted jig heads can pull floating plastics below the surface.

How to Fish It

For a swimming presentation, retrieve slowly enough to keep the bait in the water you want to cover. Mix in short pauses and watch for changes in line movement.

To work near the bottom, let the jig settle and use small hops or lifts followed by controlled falls. Around rock and wood, keep movements short and avoid dragging the hook into tight gaps.

In current, cast upstream or across a seam and manage slack as the rig drifts. Maintain steady pressure when fighting a fish on the barbless hook, then use controlled handling during unhooking.

Care and Storage

Inspect hook points and connections before use. Let tackle dry before closing the box, keep sharp hooks secured, and collect damaged tackle for proper disposal.
