Berkley FluoroShield Fishing Line
Berkley FluoroShield is a fluorocarbon-infused copolymer fishing line designed to combine manageable, monofilament-style handling with abrasion resistance and low underwater visibility. It is a copolymer line, not 100% fluorocarbon.
Choose from seven pound-test options to suit your tackle and presentation. FluoroShield can be used on compatible spinning and baitcasting reels, with the selected test matched to your rod's rating and reel capacity.

Setup and Fishing Guidance
Select a pound test within your rod's line rating and check the reel's capacity for the chosen line. Follow the reel manufacturer's spooling instructions, maintaining light, even tension and leaving the recommended clearance at the spool edge.
Tie a knot appropriate for the line and terminal tackle, lubricate it before tightening, and draw it down smoothly. Test the connection before casting and set drag pressure to suit the entire setup rather than the line's stated test alone.
Inspect the working end after contact with rock, wood, or dock edges. If it feels rough or shows nicks, cut back to undamaged line and retie. Check for twists or loose loops on the spool before they develop into a casting problem.
Storage and Care
Store unused line away from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Secure loose ends between trips and collect discarded line for appropriate disposal or recycling.
