How to Fish It
Thread the bait onto a suitably sized jighead or hook without bunching the body. Keep the hook point clear and check the rig beside you before casting. If the bait rolls or tracks unevenly, straighten it before continuing.
Start with a steady swimming retrieve, using short pauses to let the bait fall. To work closer to bottom, try controlled lifts followed by a fall on lightly managed line. Adjust the weight to the depth and current rather than using more weight than the presentation needs.
On a drift rig, keep enough contact to notice changes in pressure without dragging continuously through obstructions. Include the bait and all added weight when checking your rod's lure rating. Inspect the body and leader after a strike or contact with rough cover.
Storage and Care
Keep unused baits in their original packaging and follow the package's storage directions. Protect them from drying out and store separately from other soft-bait materials unless compatibility is confirmed. Rinse and dry hooks and jigheads after saltwater use.
