Berkley Trilene XL Smooth Casting 10 lb Clear
Berkley Trilene XL Smooth Casting is a manageable monofilament line for anglers who want easy handling across a range of baits and techniques. This spool holds 300 yards of clear, 10 lb test line.
The smooth-handling formula is designed to resist twists and kinks. Use it within your rod and reel's line recommendations, whether you are refreshing a spool before a trip or replacing line that has become worn.

Setup and Spooling
Check your reel's capacity guidance for 10 lb monofilament before filling it. The 300-yard package length is not a reel-capacity recommendation. Follow the reel manufacturer's loading method, maintain light, even tension, and stop at the recommended fill level rather than packing line to the spool's edge.
Choose a knot suited to monofilament and your terminal tackle. Moisten it before cinching, tighten it gradually, and check that it seats cleanly. Test the connection with steady pressure before fishing.
Set drag to suit the complete setup, including the rod, hook, knot, and fishing conditions. A 10 lb test rating is not a recommended drag setting or a fish-lifting capacity.
Line Care
Check the working section for rough spots, nicks, or flattened areas after contact with cover or a fish. Cut back damaged line and retie. If loose coils or twist develop, address them before the next cast rather than winding them tightly onto the spool.
Store spare line away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Replace line when wear or persistent handling problems make it unreliable.
