Designed by Mike McClelland, the Big Bite Baits Battle Bug combines subtle swimming action with long antennae for a larger creature-bait profile. This 5-inch soft plastic gives you options for working bass cover on a Texas rig, swing head, or jig.
Leave the antennae intact for the full profile, or remove them when you want a smaller, less bulky presentation. Each pack contains seven baits.

How to Fish It
For a Texas rig, match the hook to the body, seat the nose securely, and keep the bait straight. Leave enough hook gap for the plastic to move clear during the hookset. Lightly tuck the point when appropriate for cover, remembering that this reduces exposure rather than eliminating snags.
Pitch beside cover or into an opening, follow the fall, and work short lifts and pauses after the bait reaches bottom. Watch for unexpected slack or sideways line movement, and reel into contact before setting the hook.
On a swing head, rig the bait straight and try a slow bottom retrieve with pauses. Choose enough weight to maintain control without constantly wedging the head into cover. As a jig trailer, secure the nose on a compatible keeper and leave the appendages free to move.
If you want less bulk, remove the antennae and retest the presentation nearby. Make that change deliberately, since removed appendages cannot be restored.
Care and Storage
Inspect the nose and appendages for tears after fish or contact with cover. Replace baits that no longer hold securely on the hook or keeper. Store in the original packaging, away from prolonged heat and separate from other soft plastics.
