How to Fish It

Start with a Texas rig and a hook sized to the bait. Thread the nose onto the hook, seat the head securely, and align the body so it hangs straight. Keep the point lightly tucked for cover while leaving room for the plastic to move out of the hook gap on the hookset.

Choose enough weight to reach your target and maintain control without making the presentation heavier than necessary. Make short pitches beside cover, lower the bait on a controlled fall, and watch for the line to jump or move sideways.

Once it reaches bottom, try a short lift and pause or a slow drag. Work promising openings from more than one angle. Reel into contact before setting the hook, then check the nose and hook alignment before the next pitch. A tucked point reduces exposure but does not eliminate snags.

Care and Storage
