Buckeye Spot Remover Wide Gap jigheads give bulkier soft plastics more room between the hook point and shank. A Mustad EWG-style hook pairs with a spring bait keeper to secure the nose for bottom-contact presentations around structure.
The head has a chip-resistant powder-coated finish. Choose the weight for your depth and conditions, then match your bait to the corresponding hook size. Each pack contains three jigheads.

How to Fish It
Center the bait’s nose on the spring keeper and turn it on carefully, keeping the body aligned. Position the hook through the body so the bait hangs straight and has room to move clear of the hook gap. Lightly tuck the point when appropriate for cover; this reduces exposure but does not prevent every snag.
Choose enough weight to follow bottom contact at your fishing depth. Cast beside structure or along an open cover edge, allow the head to settle, and start with short drags, small shakes, and pauses.
Work a promising spot before moving the jig a short distance and repeating. Watch for unexpected slack or sideways line movement during the fall. Reel into contact before setting the hook, then inspect the bait’s nose and alignment before the next cast.
Care and Storage
Remove torn plastic from the spring keeper and check the hook point after fish, snags, or hard contact. Inspect the finish and keeper for damage, let the heads dry before storage, and secure exposed hook points in your tackle box.
