The Creek Life Lure Co. ChebBlade combines a micro blade, a Cheb weight, and an inline hook in a modular creek-fishing rig. Its 16 x 10 mm stainless blade adds flash and vibration to small presentations, while interchangeable hook and weight connections let you adjust the setup for depth, current, and bait size.
The rig comes with a 1/32 oz Cheb sinker and a size 10 inline hook. Pair it with a suitably sized micro grub, hellgrammite, or creek-creature plastic when working riffles, runs, current seams, and pocket water for bass, trout, and panfish.
Included Components
- 16 x 10 mm stainless micro blade.
- Pre-mounted snap connection on the blade.
- 1/32 oz interchangeable Cheb sinker weight.
- Size 10 inline hook.
- Double-sided snap for changing the hook and Cheb weight.
The 1/32 oz specification refers to the Cheb sinker, not the complete assembled rig.
Rigging and Adjustment
Choose a small plastic that fits the size 10 hook without crowding the gap, then thread it straight. Keep the blade and connectors clear so they can move freely.
To change weight or hook size, open the appropriate connection and check that each replacement fits and moves without binding. Close all snaps securely and test the assembled rig beside you before casting. Use tackle rated for the total weight of the rig and any added bait.
How to Fish It
Begin with a slow retrieve in visible water to find the speed that gets the blade working. Maintain that movement while bringing the rig through a shallow run or alongside a current seam.
For a drift, cast across or upstream and manage slack as the rig moves through the seam. Add gentle lifts when needed to keep the blade moving and guide the rig past obstacles.
Along gravel, try a slow crawl with pauses or short hops. Around rock and roots, use controlled movements and leave room for the exposed hook; this is not a snag-proof setup. Adjust the Cheb weight when depth or current changes rather than forcing the same retrieve everywhere.
Care and Storage
Clear debris from the blade and connections if the action changes. Inspect snaps, hook points, and attachment points after hard contact. Let the rig dry before storage and secure the hook to prevent tangles.
