How to Fish It

Cast beyond a pad opening or along a grass edge. Move the frog over thicker vegetation with short pulls, then pause when it reaches a pocket. In open lanes, use short rod-tip twitches with a little slack between movements to encourage the side-to-side walk.

Begin with a slow cadence and longer pauses near cover, then speed up to search more water. When a bass strikes, wait until you feel its weight before making a firm hookset, then maintain pressure to guide it away from vegetation. Use tackle suited to the cover, inspect the hooks and line regularly, and check the hollow body for collected water during the session.
