Creek Life Lure Co. Micro EWG Hooks pair an extra-wide gap with a compact finesse profile for small soft plastics. High-carbon steel construction, a slick PTFE coating, and an offset shank give you a practical starting point for weightless, light Texas, and compatible Cheburashka rigs.
When a small pocket beneath roots calls for a downsized bait, choose a hook that fits its body without crowding it. These ten-packs come in sizes #4, #6, #8, and #10, letting you match the hook to the plastic rather than forcing a small bait onto oversized tackle.

Choosing and Rigging
Match the hook to the bait's thickness as well as its length. Thread the nose onto the hook, seat it over the offset, and measure where the point should reenter the body. Keep the plastic straight and leave enough space in the gap for it to compress and expose the point during a hookset.
Lightly skin-hook or bury the point in a suitable plastic when working vegetation and roots. This can reduce snagging but does not make the rig snag-proof. A floating plastic may sit lower or sink once rigged, so test the complete bait-and-hook combination beside you.
How to Fish It
Weightless: Work shallow seams and quiet pockets with gentle twitches and pauses. Let the plastic's shape and buoyancy determine whether you fish it on top, just below the surface, or on a slow fall.
Cheb rig: Pair with compatible Creek Life Micro Cheb Sinkers for an articulated bottom presentation. Check that the connection fits through the hook eye and pivots freely, then secure it fully. Use small hops, short drags, and pauses to let the bait move independently of the weight.
Light Texas rig: Add an appropriately sized sliding weight to reach deeper pockets or maintain control in current. Keep movements short around cover and use enough weight to guide the rig without constantly burying it in the bottom.
Choose ultralight spinning or BFS tackle rated for the complete rig. Use a controlled hookset and a drag suited to your line rather than overpowering a small hook.
Care and Storage
Inspect the point, barb, and eye after fish or snags. Replace bent, dulled, or damaged hooks. Rinse as needed, allow them to dry, and store with the sharp points contained.
