Setting Up on the Ice
Choose the rod power that suits your intended presentation, and check the markings on your selected rod for its line and lure limits before rigging. Load the reel evenly, thread the line through every guide, and set the drag for the line you are using.
Start with small, controlled rod movements when working your presentation beneath the hole. Keep the guides clear of ice and check for line damage where it contacts the edge of the hole. After fishing, let the combo dry before storage.
