The Floatzilla Zilla Head replaces the head of a compatible soft-plastic lizard with a buoyant head and included 3/0 hook. Use it to give the rig a lifted, gliding presentation above the lake floor rather than keeping the entire bait against the bottom.

Each pack contains two Zilla Head assemblies. Choose a color to coordinate with your lizard or add contrast, then test the complete rig in the water to check its posture and movement.

How to Use It

Choose a soft-plastic lizard that fits the Zilla Head and 3/0 hook. Remove the lizard’s original head and attach the Zilla Head in its place, keeping the body aligned and the hook gap clear. Trim carefully and start conservatively, since removed plastic cannot be put back.

Check that the connection holds securely before casting. Test the complete rig nearby to see how the bait lifts and glides; its posture will depend on the soft plastic and the rest of your setup.

Start with slow pulls and pauses through an open bottom area or beside a cover edge. Give the bait time to settle between movements, then adjust your pace to find a controlled glide. Watch the line for unexpected movement and reel into contact before setting the hook.

Care and Storage

Inspect the bait connection and hook after fish or contact with cover. Replace torn soft plastics that no longer hold securely. Remove debris, let the assembly dry before storage, and secure the hook point. Keep small tackle contained and away from prolonged heat.
