The Surface Seducer Double Barrel Ready-to-Tie Popper Bodies by Flymen Fishing Company are pre-finished Double Barrel foam popper heads designed to eliminate the decoration and finishing step from the popper tying process. Where standard Double Barrel popper heads arrive as unfinished foam blanks that require painting, airbrushing, clear-coating, eye installation, and drilling before tying can begin, the Ready-to-Tie heads arrive fully finished: airbrushed with a White/Grey baitfish pattern, coated with a clear protective finish, fitted with Surface Seducer Dragon Eyes in the recessed eye sockets, and pre-drilled for immediate hook mounting. Each pack includes 3 pre-finished popper heads and 3 Kona Big Game Carnivore hooks in the matched size. Add a tail, mount the head, and fish. Available in Large and X-Large.

• Airbrushed Baitfish Pattern — White body with Grey back; a clean, natural baitfish lateral color break that works across a wide range of light conditions and target species; the airbrush finish produces smooth color gradients that hand-painting or marker application cannot replicate at this scale

• Pre-Drilled for Mounting — each head is pre-drilled with a clean channel for the hook shank; the channel exits through the cup face in the correct position (slightly above and just past the bottom lip) for proper keel orientation; the drilling step is where most tiers damage or misalign foam heads, especially on their first attempts with a new head size
• Kona BGC Hooks Included — 3 matched Kona Big Game Carnivore hooks are included with each pack, in the hook size matched to the popper head size; the Kona BGC is the preferred hook for Double Barrel poppers and requires no sourcing or sizing research

How to Finish a Ready-to-Tie Head

1. Tie your tail materials onto the included Kona BGC hook — bucktail, craft fur, flash, Faux Bucktail, marabou, or any combination appropriate for the target species and fishing conditions.
2. Apply super glue gel to the hook shank where the head will seat.
3. Slide the pre-drilled popper head onto the hook shank through the pre-drilled channel.
4. Position and allow to cure for 1–2 minutes.
5. Fish immediately or add an additional clear coat touch-up if desired.
