"Gill" WakeWalker LT

The WakeWalker LT is the ABS hard bait evolution of Throwback Baits' flagship resin WakeWalker — two years in the making. The result is a bait that swims perfectly out of the box, wakes high and aggressive on the surface, and cranks down 2 feet on a burn. The 3-piece jointed ABS body is built for durability, while the oversized TB tail in strong, stretchy TPE plastic kicks with every twitch and turn. The "Gill" colorway features a translucent teal-green body with a warm orange belly and a bright yellow TPE tail — a convincing bluegill/sunfish imitation that triggers reaction strikes from bass and stripers conditioned on panfish forage.

Disclaimer: Avoid storing this bait with other soft plastic lures — the tail may react with soft plastics.

How to Fish It

• Shallow structure — The gill pattern shines around docks, laydowns, and weed edges where bass are actively feeding on bluegill. Wake the bait over and past structure to trigger ambush strikes.
• Wake retrieve — Cast and retrieve at a slow-to-medium pace to keep the bait riding high on the surface with a big wake. The teal-and-orange profile mimics a fleeing gill perfectly from below.
• Burn and dive — Speed up and the WakeWalker LT cranks down 2 feet. Use around submerged structure or to cover water fast during an active feed.
• Twitch and pause — Rod twitches kick the tail and create a wounded panfish action. Pauses let the bait float back up and tempt hesitant fish to commit.
