The Kistler Hunt BFS series brings a baitcasting approach to finesse fishing. Designed for the Bait Finesse System, these casting rods let you work small lures with ultralight tackle rather than reaching automatically for a spinning setup.
Choose a model around the lure you want to present and the space you're fishing. The series offers four length options and three named ultralight power selections for building a dedicated BFS setup.

Length options: 6'0", 6'6", 6'8", and 7'0".
Power selections: 2X-ULTRA-LITE, 3X-ULTRA-LITE, and 4X-ULTRA-LITE.

Setup and Fishing Guidance
Pair the Hunt with a BFS-capable baitcasting reel and line suited to the rod's ratings and your fishing conditions. Include hooks, weights, and trailers when checking the total casting weight. Set the reel's braking and spool controls according to its instructions, then make gentle practice casts before trying for distance.
Use smooth casts that let the lure load the rod rather than snapping it forward. Work small presentations with controlled lifts, twitches, and pauses, adjusting your retrieve to the bait. Keep the drag appropriate for the light line and hooks in the setup instead of trying to overpower a fish.
Guide fish toward a landing net rather than lifting them with the rod. Inspect the guides and line before fishing, protect the tip during transport, and avoid high-sticking or using the rod to pull a snag free.
