How to Fish It

Select a jig within your rod's lure or jig rating. Inspect hooks and connections, then attach using compatible tackle. For casting, let the jig sink under control before retrieving with measured reel turns and short lifts. Vary pauses and retrieve speed to suit the jig's response.

For vertical jigging, lower to your intended depth and alternate short lifts with controlled falls. Watch for sudden slack, stops, or changes in line direction. Choose a heavier jig or adjust boat position if current creates excessive line angle. Use a weight suited to the conditions if the included assortment does not provide adequate control.

Lift clear of structure before the next fall to reduce snagging. Check hook points and connections before each session, then rinse and dry saltwater-exposed tackle before storage.
