How to Fish It

Use a compatible slow pitch setup rated for the selected weight and rig the jig with suitable hooks and connections. Lower it under control to your intended depth.

For suspended fish, work the depth band where fish are holding rather than returning to bottom each time. Start with short lifts and measured reel turns followed by controlled falls. Vary lift height and pause length to suit the jig's response.

Watch for sudden slack, stops, or changes in line direction during descent. Adjust weight or boat position to manage line angle as current and drift change. Near structure, lift clear before the next fall to reduce snagging.

Inspect hooks and connections before each session, then rinse and dry saltwater-exposed tackle before storage.
