How to Fish It

Choose a jigging setup rated for the selected 150g or 400g weight and rig the jig with compatible hooks and connections. Lower it under control to your intended depth.

For slow pitch presentations, begin with short lifts and measured reel turns followed by controlled falls. Vary lift height and pauses to work the darting action. Watch for sudden slack, stops, or changes in line direction during descent.

For faster presentations, increase retrieve speed within the limits of your tackle and conditions. Near bottom structure, lift clear before the next fall to reduce snagging. Reposition or choose a different weight if current creates excessive line angle.

Inspect hooks and connections before each session, then rinse and dry saltwater-exposed tackle before storage.
