Strike King KVD 200 Suspending Jerkbait
The Strike King KVD 200 is a 4-inch suspending jerkbait that combines side-to-side darting movement with roll and flash. Developed with input from Kevin VanDam, it gives you a baitfish presentation you can work with short twitches, deliberate pauses, or a more active cadence.
An internal weight transfer system supports casting, while the 3/8-ounce bait works in a listed 4–7-foot diving range. Use it around points, grass edges, docks, and open-water structure when bass or walleye are feeding on baitfish. Actual running depth and behavior on the pause depend on line, water conditions, and retrieve.

How to Fish It
Match the bait's 3/8-ounce weight to your rod's lure rating. Cast past the target and reel it down before starting a twitch-and-pause retrieve. Begin with two short rod-tip twitches, allow a little slack so the bait can move freely, and pause before repeating.
Change the pause length and twitch strength rather than using the same rhythm on every cast. Try longer pauses when fish hesitate and a quicker cadence when they follow actively. Check the bait beside the boat or bank to see how your line and water conditions affect its balance during a pause.
Watch for line movement or added weight while the bait is paused. Recover slack and apply controlled pressure when a fish takes it. Work above grass or structure with enough clearance for the treble hooks.
Care and Storage
Inspect hooks, split rings, and the line tie before use and after snags. Dry the lure before storing it. Match replacement hardware to the original configuration as closely as possible, since changes in hook or ring weight can alter suspension and action.
