Strike King KVD Splash Topwater Popper
The Strike King KVD Splash lets you change the surface presentation without changing lures. Pop it, chug it, or work it side to side to match how bass are responding around docks, points, grass lines, and open-water feeding activity.
Developed to Kevin VanDam's specifications, this 2.75-inch, 3/8-ounce floating bait has a slender, modified flat-sided body for erratic movement. A feather-enhanced rear treble hook adds detail at the back of the lure, while 3D eyes and baitfish finishes complete the profile.

How to Fish It
Cast beyond the target and let the lure settle. For a popping retrieve, use short rod-tip pulls followed by pauses. Adjust the strength of each pull to change the splash and sound, then reel up only enough slack to stay in contact without dragging the bait continuously.
To walk it, use rhythmic twitches with a little slack between movements so the lure can swing side to side. Try a steady walk across open water, or slow down with single pops and longer pauses near a dock corner or grass edge. Keep exposed hooks out of dense surface vegetation.
If a fish blows up on the lure, wait until you feel it load the rod before reeling down and sweeping into the hookset. A splash alone may be a miss. After a missed strike, pause briefly, then resume with a small twitch or pop.
Care and Storage
Inspect hooks, split rings, and the line tie before fishing and after contact with cover. Clear debris from the hooks and let the lure and feather dressing dry before storing them. Match the lure's weight to your rod's casting rating and protect exposed hooks during transport.
