The Livingston Lures Critter is a compact 3.5-inch predator presentation by Steven Paul — don’t let the size fool you. This bait is built for trophy-class Musky and Pike all year long. Powered by EBS™ (Electronic Baitfish Sound) Technology, the Critter doesn’t just look alive — it sounds alive, attracting predators from distance and triggering strikes when other lures go unnoticed. Its versatility is its greatest strength: burn it across shallow flats, rip it through open water, work it vertically on forward-facing sonar, or fish it on a drop shot. It responds dynamically to straight retrieves, pops, rips, and pauses, making it effective in nearly any situation.
How to Fish the Critter
The Critter excels around suspended fish located with forward-facing sonar. Position the bait above the fish and use short pops followed by controlled falls — many strikes occur as the lure descends naturally through the strike zone, especially when predators have time to track the falling bait. Also highly effective burned across flats or ripped aggressively on a straight retrieve for active fish. — Steven Paul Pro Tip
