Livingston Lures Head Hunter 6 | Double-Jointed Crankbait

Double-Jointed Swimming and Hunting Action

The Livingston Lures Head Hunter 6 combines slow swimbait-style movement, shallow-crankbait vibration, and a kick-out trolling presentation in one double-jointed predator lure. Its slow-sinking profile offers options for casting and trolling when targeting musky, northern pike, striped bass, walleye, and large bass.

An EBS Smart Chip adds Electronic Baitfish Sound, while 2 mm wire-through construction runs through the bait. Sound is tied to the selected color-and-sound variant, with Perch, Original, Bream, Shad, Herring, Cisco, Goby, and Minnow options represented in this listing.

How to Fish It

Start with a slow, steady casting retrieve to explore its swimbait-style action. Compare faster retrieves for more crankbait-style vibration, adding occasional pauses to let the slow-sinking profile change the presentation. Test the lure in view to check its movement and sinking behavior before working it around cover.

For trolling, start within the supplier-listed 2.5–4.5 mph range and check tracking beside the boat before deploying the lure. Adjust your setup for the depth and structure you are fishing; running depth depends on speed, line, and conditions.

Steve Herbeck pro tip: Use the Head Hunter for both casting and trolling. Vary trolling speed occasionally to explore its kick-out action. When casting, mix pauses and speed changes into the retrieve to make use of its slow-sinking profile and articulated swimming movement.
