Livingston Lures Viper 8 | Adjustable EBS Swimbait

An 8-Inch Swimbait with Adjustable Depth Control

The Livingston Lures Viper 8 combines a slow, natural swimming profile with Electronic Baitfish Sound (EBS). Its Variable Weight System lets you configure the presentation for just below the surface, suspending in the water column, or slow rolling along the bottom.

Built with 2 mm wire-through construction, this large forage-style bait is designed for musky, pike, stripers, walleye, and other predators. Work it over a weed edge or beside suspended bait, adjusting the setup and retrieve to explore the depth where fish are holding.

How to Fish It

Use tackle rated for the listed 6.22-ounce lure weight. Follow the manufacturer's weighting instructions and test the lure's balance and movement in view before fishing your chosen setup. Begin with a slow, steady retrieve, then add controlled pauses and wide rod sweeps to vary direction and movement.

Randy Howell pro tip: Use the Variable Weight System to position the bait over shallow weeds, near suspended bait schools, or around deeper structure. Mix occasional pauses and wide rod sweeps into a slow retrieve, watching the lure as it changes direction or glides.

Check the weighting and retrieve whenever you change presentations rather than assuming every setup suspends or runs at the same depth.
