The GRASSBURNER is MONSTERBASS’s evolution of the buzz bait — an inline topwater lure designed by legendary bait maker Brad Kowalski that runs on its side rather than upright, creating a kicking, flashing, wounded-baitfish profile that largemouth and smallmouth bass can’t ignore. Dual BKK trebles on a lure that mimics the frantic movement of fleeing forage — bluegill, crappie, perch, baby bass, shad, and crawfish — mean you stick more fish and lose fewer trophies on the hookset. How to Fish It

• Slow Crawl — Heavy Cover & Grass Edges — retrieve just fast enough to keep the GRASSBURNER on the surface and the blades turning; a slow crawl over lily pads, along grass mat edges, and over shallow flats gives bass holding tight to cover time to rise and commit; the slower the retrieve, the longer the lure stays in the strike zone over any given piece of cover; most effective in warm water when bass are feeding actively but holding in heavy vegetation; pause briefly near any specific target (a dock post, a fallen branch, a gap in the mat) to trigger a reaction from fish positioned under the cover
• High-Speed Burn — Open Water & Reaction Strikes — burn the GRASSBURNER across open flats, over submerged grass, and along rip-rap at a fast retrieve that creates maximum surface disturbance and flash; the high-speed presentation triggers reaction strikes from bass that see the lure moving fast and strike on instinct before they have time to inspect it; most effective in clear water in summer when bass are chasing fast-moving shad schools on open flats
