What’s in the Pack

• 2 Tungsten Weights (97% Pure) — the C-rig weight slides freely on the main line above the bead and swivel; 97% pure tungsten for a compact profile and direct bottom sensitivity that tells you exactly what composition is below the boat — rock, sand, gravel, shell, or mud; the weight choice drives the fall rate and the feel of the presentation across different bottom types
• 2 Clackers — the clacker slides on the main line between the weight and the bead, creating an audible clicking sound when it contacts the bead on the fall and retrieve; the sound attracts fish from outside visual range and adds a secondary audio trigger to the C-rig presentation; the component that separates a C-rig from a standard Texas rig setup and the reason the Carolina rig draws fish from a distance that a TX rig can’t
• 4 Beads — the bead sits between the clacker and the swivel; protects the knot at the swivel from the weight and clacker impact on the fall and retrieve; also adds an additional audible click when the clacker contacts it; glass or hard plastic beads produce a sharper sound than soft beads for more pronounced clacker contact
• 4 Swivels — the barrel swivel ties the main line assembly to the leader; the swivel prevents leader twist on long sweeping retrieves and keeps the soft plastic bait tracking naturally without line spin; the leader length (typically 12–36") determines how far off the bottom the bait floats and how much action it has on the sweep

How to Rig It

Thread main line through the tungsten weight, then the clacker, then the bead. Tie the main line to one eye of the swivel. Tie your leader (12–36" of fluorocarbon) to the other eye of the swivel. Tie your hook to the leader and rig your soft plastic weedless. The weight and clacker slide freely above the swivel, the leader floats the bait above the bottom as you drag and sweep.

Best Techniques & Conditions

• Dragging Open Bottom — the go-to C-rig application; drag across sand, gravel, and rock flats with a long sweeping motion; the clacker fires on the sweep, the bait floats up behind it and glides back down on the pause
• Post-Spawn & Summer Deep Structure — the C-rig shines in post-spawn when fish move to deeper main-lake structure; the long leader keeps a buoyant soft plastic (lizard, craw, creature bait) floating above the bottom where suspended fish can see and eat it
• Large Flats & Points — cover water efficiently by dragging across large featureless flats and secondary points where fish are scattered; the clacker and bead sound calls fish in from a distance on areas where visual attraction alone isn’t enough
