Mustad 39928NP-BN Octopus Inline Circle Hooks | 4/0–9/0

Inline Circle Hooks for Bait Presentations

The Mustad 39928NP-BN Octopus Inline Circle Hook combines an inline circle shape with a ringed, upturned eye and Black Nickel finish. The supplied description lists freshwater and saltwater applications, from drifting live bait for tarpon to trolling bait for sailfish.

Select a hook size that suits your bait while keeping the point and gap clear. Packs contain six hooks in sizes 4/0 through 8/0, or five hooks in size 9/0.

Key Features

• Mustad Demon Perfect Circle design.
• 4.3 UltraPoint technology and Opti-Angle Needle Point.
• Inline configuration.
• 2X Strong, 1X Long.
• Ringed, upturned eye.
• Nor-Tempered construction.
• Black Nickel finish.

How to Fish It

Choose a size that matches your bait rather than fish size alone, leaving the hook point and gap unobstructed. For a circle-hook presentation, let the line come tight and apply steady pressure instead of making a sharp, conventional hookset. The curved shape is intended to work toward the corner of the mouth, but correct rigging and handling remain important.

The supplied description notes the upturned eye for paternoster rigs with a Snell knot. Follow the knot and rig instructions for your setup, check connections, and replace damaged hooks. For drifting or trolling, adjust bait presentation and line pressure to conditions.
