How to Fish It

Thread worms onto the shank so the bait-holding barbs engage the bait, keeping the point and gap exposed. For crab pieces or fish chunks, select a hook large enough to hold the bait without filling the gap.

Fish it on a weighted bottom or ledger rig suited to the depth and current. Use enough weight to keep the bait where you want it while maintaining contact with the rig. Check the bait after missed bites and replace torn pieces that slide down over the point. Inspect the hook after snags or fish, and rinse and dry it after saltwater use.
