How to Fish It

Make a cast along a bank, grass edge, or open lane and start reeling to establish the surface retrieve. Begin slowly to hear the buzzbait-style sound, then gradually increase speed until the rear prop engages. Test both speeds beside the boat or bank so you can recognize the change.

Alternate steady passes with brief speed increases to find a rhythm fish respond to. The exposed treble hooks are best kept clear of thick vegetation and snag-prone cover. On a strike, maintain contact and wait until you feel the fish's weight before setting the hooks. Check the blade, prop, and hooks after a fish or snag.
