The Royal Hooks ROYAL Cut SSW Circle Hook is a variation on the classic SSW (Super Strong Wire) hook built specifically for anglers who prefer to tie direct to the eye rather than snelling. The Octopus Eye — a turned-out, angled eye — positions the knot at an angle that improves hook point alignment on the strike without requiring a snell knot, making it faster to rig and easier to re-tie in the field. The offset tip increases hookup percentage on live bait and cut bait presentations where the fish inhales the bait before the angler sets the hook. The cutting point drives cleanly through the fish’s mouth on the hookset with less resistance than a standard point.
