The Royal Hooks ROYAL Magnum Offset Worm Hook is built for large soft plastics that require more hook inside the bait body to stay secure through a fight. The extended shank — measured from the bait lock to the eye — provides more hook shank length inside a big swimbait, magnum worm, or large creature bait compared to a standard-shank hook of the same size. The result is a more secure bait hold that resists tearing, spinning, and sliding down the shank when a large fish compresses and twists the bait during a run. High-grade carbon steel alloy for the strength required to hold and control big fish on large presentations. Available in 7/0 and 11/0 — two sizes that cover the full range of oversized soft plastic applications. 6 hooks per pack.

Why Extended Shank for Big Baits

Large soft plastics have more body mass and more material between the bait’s nose and the hook point than smaller baits. A standard-shank hook of the same wire size can’t anchor as deeply into the bait body, leaving less hook in contact with the plastic. During the fight, a big fish compresses, twists, and shakes a large bait aggressively — and a short-shanked hook inside a big bait will work its way loose or allow the bait to tear off the hook under that pressure. The Magnum’s extended shank keeps more hook inside the bait from the moment of rigging, and that additional contact point holds the plastic in place through everything a big fish can put on it.

• High-Grade Carbon Steel Alloy — the alloy specification provides the tensile strength needed to hold large fish on big-bait presentations without hook bend; at 7/0 and 11/0, the hook sees substantial force on the hookset and during the fight with trophy-class bass and large saltwater species
