"Shad" WakeWalker LT

The WakeWalker LT is the ABS hard bait evolution of Throwback Baits' flagship resin WakeWalker — two years in the making. The result is a bait that swims perfectly out of the box, wakes high and aggressive on the surface, and cranks down 2 feet on a burn. The 3-piece jointed ABS body is built for durability, while the oversized TB tail in strong, stretchy TPE plastic kicks with every twitch and turn. The "Shad" colorway features a translucent smoky silver body with a bold black TPE tail — a dead-on threadfin or gizzard shad imitation that works everywhere shad are present in the forage base.

Disclaimer: Avoid storing this bait with other soft plastic lures — the tail may react with soft plastics.

How to Fish It

• Open water and points — The shad pattern is a universal big-bait colorway. Work it over points, rips, and open water wherever stripers, bass, or walleye are chasing shad schools.
• Wake retrieve — Cast and retrieve at a slow-to-medium pace to keep the bait riding high on the surface. The translucent body and black tail create a realistic shad silhouette from below.
• Burn and dive — Speed up and the WakeWalker LT cranks down 2 feet. Ideal for triggering reaction strikes when fish are keyed on fleeing shad near the surface.
• Twitch and pause — Rod twitches kick the black tail and create a wounded baitfish action. Pauses let the bait float back up and give following fish a chance to commit.
