Showtime 7'3" Medium Heavy Casting Rod

The Pulse Fish Showtime is a 7-foot-3-inch medium-heavy casting rod for anglers who switch between moving baits and bottom-contact presentations. Its 10–20 lb line rating and 1/8–1 oz lure range cover a selection of worms, football jigs, frogs, Pulse Jigs, Pulse Swimmers, and Pulse Glide Baits, provided the complete rig fits those ratings.

The blank combines Japanese Toray 40T high-modulus carbon fiber with Pulse MDML technology. Fuji K-concept guides, a graphite Team Pulse reel seat, and a custom high-density EVA grip complete the build.

Setup and Fishing Guidance

Pair the Showtime with a compatible casting reel and line within the 10–20 lb rating. Weigh the entire presentation, including the bait, jighead or sinker, trailer, and added hardware, against the 1/8–1 oz lure range. Check each lure individually rather than assuming every size of a listed model will fit.

For worms and football jigs, begin with short movements and pauses, watching the line as the bait settles. For swimming presentations, start with steady reel turns and adjust speed to the bait's movement and the depth you want to cover.

When switching to frogs or glide baits, adjust your cadence, drag, and hookset to the lure and hook style. Choose cover you can fish effectively with the rated setup rather than treating medium-heavy power as permission to force fish through any obstruction.

Care

Check the guide inserts, blank, reel seat, and line before fishing. Wipe down the rod after use and dry before storage. Protect the tip in transit, avoid sharply bending it under load, and use a landing net instead of lifting fish with the rod.
