Simply Finesse 6'10" Spinning Rod

The Pulse Fish Simply Finesse is a 6-foot-10-inch spinning rod for light presentations, including a 1/8 oz Pulse Jig, drop shots, and Ned rigs. Its 4–10 lb line rating and 1/16–1/2 oz lure range give you a clear starting point for building a finesse setup.

The blank combines Japanese Toray 40T high-modulus carbon fiber with Pulse MDML technology. Fuji K-concept guides, a graphite Team Pulse reel seat, and a custom high-density EVA grip round out the build.

Setup and Fishing Guidance

Pair it with a compatible spinning reel and line within the 4–10 lb rating. Count the entire rig toward the lure rating, including the soft plastic, hook or jighead, sinker, and any added hardware.

For a drop shot, let the weight settle and work the bait with small movements rather than constantly pulling the rig forward. With a Ned rig, try short drags and pauses, keeping enough line contact to notice a change in pressure. Swim a light Pulse Jig with a straight-rigged bait and adjust retrieve speed to suit the depth.

Set the drag to suit your line and hook, and avoid an unnecessarily hard hookset with light-wire hooks. Use a net to land fish rather than lifting them with the rod, and avoid sharply bending the tip under load.

Care

Wipe the blank, guides, reel seat, and grip after use, and dry before storage. Inspect guide inserts for chips or rough edges that could damage light line. Protect the tip during transport and keep the blank clear of doors and heavy tackle.
