The Stack Tackle 5" Tail Clapper is a paddle tail swimbait built for consistent action, durability, and versatility across saltwater and freshwater species. The clapping paddle tail generates strong vibration and water displacement on every retrieve stroke, creating the lateral line pressure and sound signature that predatory fish key in on — particularly in low-visibility conditions where sight is secondary to feel. The realistic body profile produces a natural swimming motion at any retrieve speed, from a slow roll on the bottom to a fast burn through mid-column structure. How to Fish It

• Slow Roll — Flounder, Weakfish, Speckled Trout — rig on a 0.5–0.75 oz Screwy Head and retrieve just fast enough to keep the paddle tail kicking; keep the bait 6–12 inches off the bottom over sand and mud flats, grass edges, and channel drop-offs; flounder and weakfish track the vibration and sound of the clapping tail and commit on a slow, steady presentation; add a brief pause every 3–4 cranks to let the bait flutter and settle — most flounder strikes come within a second of the pause
• Swim & Burn — Striped Bass, Bluefish — rig on a 1–1.5 oz Screwy Head and cast to breaking fish, inlets, rips, and jetty structure; retrieve at medium-to-fast speed to keep the bait swimming through the mid-column strike zone; vary retrieve speed and occasionally rip the rod to create a sudden burst of acceleration that triggers reaction strikes from bass following the bait without committing; the clapping tail creates additional vibration at higher speeds that helps get noticed in current and turbulent water
