Stack Tackle Replacement Heads for 5/0 Screwy Head Jigs let you swap jig head weight on the water without cutting your line and re-tying. Each pack includes two heads in your selected size and color. Match the head to current depth, current speed, and presentation style — go heavier to get down faster in current or deep structure, go lighter to slow the fall and keep the bait in the strike zone longer on shallow flats and grass edges. The 5/0 hook size is designed for larger swimbait and paddle tail profiles. Hooks sold separately.
Sizes & When to Use Them
0.5 oz — ultra-slow fall; shallow flats, grass edges, calm conditions; best when fish are holding high in the water column or in very shallow water where a heavier head would hang bottom
0.75 oz — moderate fall rate; the most versatile light option for inshore and near-shore applications; good for 2–6 ft depths with light current
1 oz — standard medium weight; covers the widest range of conditions; works well in moderate current, 4–10 ft of water, and most inshore species targets
1.25 oz — heavier presentation for faster current, deeper structure, or when you need the bait to punch through the water column quickly and stay down during the retrieve
1.5 oz — heaviest option; deep water, strong current, or when you’re fishing directly on the bottom and need the head to anchor the bait without drifting; also useful for vertical jigging applications
Color Selection
Chartreuse — high-visibility; best in stained or murky water, low-light conditions (dawn, dusk, overcast), and situations where you want maximum contrast against a dark bottom; a proven inshore producer in dirty water
White — natural baitfish imitation; best in clear water where a bright chartreuse head would look unnatural; matches shad, mullet, pilchard, and most inshore baitfish profiles
Black — creates a strong silhouette from below; effective in clear water during bright-light midday conditions when fish are looking up at the bait against a bright sky; also used at night when silhouette contrast matters more than color
Pink — attractor color; works well in clear water targeting species that respond to pink and red tones — redfish, snook, and speckled trout in particular; also a solid backup color when chartreuse and white aren’t producing
