Strike King Ned Ocho 2.5-Inch Finesse Stick Bait

The Strike King Ned Ocho brings the eight-sided Ocho profile to a compact 2.5-inch bait for Ned rigs and light finesse presentations. Its flat-sided body offers a different profile from a round stick bait, with subtle movement when worked slowly near bottom.

Made with Strike King's soft, salt-infused KVD Perfect Plastics formula and Coffee Scent, it is an option for largemouth and smallmouth bass when you want to downsize and spend more time in the feeding zone.

How to Fish It

Thread the bait straight onto a suitably sized Ned jighead, seating the nose securely against the head or keeper. Leave enough hook gap for a clean hookset without crowding the short body. Choose an exposed or guarded hook to suit the cover you are fishing.

Start with a slow fall, then use short drags, small hops, and pauses near bottom. Keep rod movements restrained; the aim is to move the bait through a small area rather than pull it several feet with every lift. Adjust head weight to maintain useful contact in the depth and current.

Where bottom cover makes dragging difficult, try a slow swim just above it with occasional pauses. Watch for line movement or a change in pressure, recover slack, and set the hook with controlled pressure. Match the complete rigged weight to your rod's lure rating.

Storage and Care

Check the nose for tearing after a fish or snag and re-rig or replace the bait if it no longer stays secure. Keep unused baits in their original packaging, away from excessive heat and separately from other soft-bait materials unless compatibility is confirmed.
