Strike King Rage Swimmer Paddle Tail Swimbait

The Strike King Rage Swimmer pairs a baitfish-shaped soft-plastic body with a paddle tail for a steady swimming presentation. Fish it on a jighead, rig it on a suitable weedless hook, or use it as a trailer when you want to add tail movement to a swim jig or spinnerbait.

Choose a smaller profile for a compact presentation or move up in size to match larger forage. A slow roll along a grass edge and a steady swim through open water are practical starting points for largemouth and smallmouth bass.

How to Fish It

Match the hook or jighead to the selected bait size. Thread the body on straight, leaving the paddle tail free to move. For a weedless presentation, use a suitable offset hook and leave enough gap for the body to compress on a strike.

Start with a steady retrieve and check the bait beside you to find a speed that keeps the tail working without rolling the body. Count it down to your chosen depth, then adjust speed and weight to swim above grass, along a ledge, or through open water. Brief pauses let it fall before you resume the retrieve.

As a swim jig or spinnerbait trailer, center the bait on the hook and check that it clears the skirt and other components. Test the combination before casting, and include the trailer's weight when matching the complete rig to your rod's lure rating.

Storage and Care

Check the nose and hook entry point for tears after a fish or missed strike. Re-rig or replace the bait if it will not stay straight. Store unused baits in their original packaging, away from excessive heat and separately from other soft-bait materials unless compatibility is confirmed.
