A Walking Frog for Vegetation and Surface Cover

The Invasive Lures Swamp Walker is a skirted hollow body frog for targeting bass and snakehead around grass, mats, and pockets in vegetation. Short rod twitches work it side to side, while pauses let the skirt settle and move around the bait.

A soft silicone-latex body collapses under pressure to expose the hooks. Inside, the weight is secured directly to the hook, and a wide-loop wire line tie connects directly to the hook assembly. That layout keeps the rigging contained within the frog for fishing through cover.

Construction and Details

  • Walking topwater presentation with a skirted body.
  • Soft silicone-latex body designed to compress on a strike.
  • VMC hooks with a body shaped around the hook gap and angle.
  • Internal weight attached directly to the hook to help balance the lure.
  • Wide-loop wire line tie for tying braid or a leader.
  • Flexible skirt strands that move during twitches and pauses.

Color Options

Crime Scene, Caution, Grim Green, Cain Toad, Black Bird, and Independence. Check the selected option for current availability; Independence is marked as a backorder option.

How to Fish It

Use a frog-capable rod and braided line suited to the cover. Cast beyond a likely opening or grass edge, then retrieve with short downward twitches and a little slack between movements to develop a walking rhythm. Across thick mats, move the frog over the vegetation and pause at holes, edges, and other openings.

In open pockets, alternate a few twitches with a longer pause rather than rushing the bait out of the area. After a strike, wait until you feel the fish load the line before setting the hook firmly. Check the body, hook alignment, line tie, and knot after fish or heavy cover contact, and let the lure dry before storing it.
