Tide Rite R255 Kingfish Hi-Lo Pill Float Rig

The Tide Rite R255 Kingfish Hi-Lo Pill Float Rig is a hand-tied, ready-to-fish two-hook rig designed for targeting kingfish (northern kingfish), spot, and other small surf and pier species. Two dropper loops each carry a Mustad #4 long shank beak hook with a brightly colored pill float and bead to keep the bait elevated and visible off the bottom. A barrel swivel at the top connects to your main line, and a loop at the bottom attaches your sinker. 1 per pack.

How to Fish It

• Surf and pier fishing — Tie your main line to the top swivel, clip or tie a sinker to the bottom loop, and bait both hooks with cut bloodworm, sandworm, or Fishbites. Cast into the surf or drop from a pier and let the rig sit on the bottom. The pill floats lift the hooks off the sand, keeping bait in the strike zone for kingfish and spot.
