The Tide Rite R464 Blowfish Rig is a hand-tied, ready-to-fish rig built specifically for targeting blowfish (northern puffer). Two long shank beak hooks tipped with red beads are rigged on a mono leader, and a 3-way snap swivel at the top makes it easy to attach your main line, a sinker, and swap components quickly. How to Fish It

• Blowfish bottom fishing — Tie your main line to the top of the 3-way snap swivel, attach a bank sinker to the sinker arm, and bait both hooks with small pieces of bloodworm, sandworm, or clam. Drop to the bottom from a boat, pier, or jetty and hold on — blowfish bite aggressively and travel in schools.
• Other species — The rig's small hook size and red bead attraction also work for kingfish, spot, and croaker when blowfish are not the target.
