Two-Drop Rig for Sea Bass Bottom Fishing
The Tide Rite R465 series is a hi-lo, two-drop rig for fishing natural baits around wrecks, rocks, and reefs. Built for black sea bass presentations, it can also be used when other bottom-feeding species are part of the catch.
Choose a red-bead model with 1/0, 2/0, or 3/0 baitholder hooks, or select the Squid Glow version with a squid skirt dressing each hook. Each pack contains one rig.

How to Fish It
Bait the hooks with appropriately sized pieces of crab, clam, or squid, leaving the points and hook gaps clear. Connect the rig to your main line or leader and attach a suitable sinker at the rig's intended sinker connection. Choose enough weight to maintain bottom contact in the current without unnecessarily restricting the presentation.
Lower the rig under control near a wreck edge, rocky patch, or reef. Keep the line reasonably vertical where practical and use small lifts to follow the bottom rather than dragging the rig into crevices. Watch for changes in pressure, reel down to remove slack, and make a controlled hookset when a fish commits.
Check both hooks and the rig line after contact with structure or after landing a fish. Replace the rig if you find abrasion, damaged connections, or bent hooks.
Care
Rinse salt residue from the used rig with fresh water and dry it before storage. Secure both hooks separately to reduce tangles and keep points away from loose tackle and fingers.
